Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever thought of buy a robot vacuum now is the time to get one. CNET's best-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It uses AI to detect objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we've ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills effortlessly, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t would like. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off using your voice.
The design is also superior to the competition. It features a sleek, top piece that appears like a toy rather than the loud and annoying robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In robotic vacuum cleaner on sale , we observed that the j7+ swiftly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place, rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a bit of grit. Most robots could not accomplish this feat. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
The j7+, though not as intelligent as the Roomba S9 for $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, is still an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it can be difficult to determine whether they're working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the best option is probably a hybrid. This kind of robot usually includes a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock is one of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it lacks certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums be a bit sloppy. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few missing in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas, modify your home map or re-label the rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place emptying the bin can be done easily. It also features a large LCD display which is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, however it can help you easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and features are among the top available however it's expensive.
It is a relatively small base station that looks great and is easily hidden when not in use. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes various tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require this.
And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It's also unable to climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a clean zone for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need a vacuum robot that can do it all.
If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. Many of the eufy models cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper and has more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set it up, simply connect one of the side brushes, turn it on and connect your charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect it to Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet and have enough space to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise and can be tucked away under couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design is less ostentatious compared to some rival models. It has a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to draw an image of the immovable objects in its path. It can remember the things it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning the area it left.
The eufy G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower cost of operation. It is faster to charge, has the same battery life and is more effective on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is, however, is more affordable and a lot simpler to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be emptied as often and has less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
